Location: 3871 24th Street, between Church and Sanchez (Noe Valley neighborhood), SF.

Mural sizes: 14' x 65' (4,26 x 20 meters) on the East side, and approx. 12' x 65' on the West side. Design and painting by Mona Caron.
The Eastern wall is now in progress. The facing, Western wall will be painted in summer 2008.

The mural theme
Two murals are planned for this project, on the two opposite walls facing a small park and parking lot. As a tie-in to the weekly farmer's market that is held there, both murals will feature giant botanical illustrations of vegetables and their plants, leaves and blossoms. A scroll-like ribbon weaves around the vegetables. Wherever the ribbon is larger and appears closer, there will be views of the neighborhood shown within it. On the Eastern wall, these views show scenes from Noe Valley's past (late 1930's) and a future vision. On the western wall, there will be two views of the present: one of the upper, Western part of 24th Street, and one of the adjacent Mission District part of the same street.

Timeline
Projected completion of the project: end of July 2008.
We will have an inauguration celebration in September, stay tuned!!!
